This young athlete has impressive online audience
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent backers as she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, especially with younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
