Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
