Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
